In 1960, a group of Whidbey Island business people saw a need for a locally owned, independent bank that would serve the people of the

community.
That was the beginning of Whidbey Island Bank.
It opened a short time later with one office in Coupeville and a determination to provide the best possible service to each and every customer. And that determination continues today.
We now have twenty branches, with over 300 employees, serving over 25,000 individuals, families and businesses in Island, San Juan, Skagit, Whatcom and Snohomish counties. We provide a full range of personal and business banking services, and to this day, continue to give every customer the best service we possibly can. And we still make all our decisions locally -- right here in Western Washington.
